Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our first session will focus on getting to know you—your life experiences, key events that have shaped you, and the goals you hope to achieve through therapy. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

  • I offer in-person therapy for all clients, as I believe that in-person sessions provide the most effective and supportive environment for the therapeutic process. The benefits of in-person therapy are significant, including:

    • Non-verbal communication: Body language, tone, and facial expressions provide valuable insight and connection that can sometimes be missed in virtual sessions.

    • A focused space for growth: Coming to an office dedicated to therapy helps create a boundary between your everyday life and the work you’re doing in therapy.

    • Emotional presence: The face-to-face interaction fosters a deeper sense of connection, helping to create a safe space for vulnerability and healing.

However, I understand that life circumstances can sometimes make attending in-person appointments difficult. For established clients who are ill or traveling within the state of Washington, I offer the option of virtual sessions as an alternative. This flexibility ensures that you can continue your therapeutic work even when you can’t be physically present.

Please note that I am only licensed to practice in Washington State. As a result, I am unable to provide virtual therapy to clients who are outside of Washington State at the time of their session.
